My old Brahma >>>> my 9515's.

I tried to get the 9515's sounding good for daily driving, but failed (so back in a 15 cube wall @ 42hz on 2 x VR2000D's they went). The average user could probably deal with it. You'd likely kill yourself going from the TC custom to a 9500 series.

thanks for the info SS, ive always wondered about the DD drivers and ive never heard of anyone really using them except for SPL apps.

I paid $566.17 for my DD 9512e

Thats with shipping and I got the Carbon Fiber Dust Cap which was $30.

I pick up my DIGITAL DESIGNS 9512 today dual 2 ohm voice coils with the carbon fiber dust cap. I paid under 400 shipped and taxed up. I would say a DIGITAL DESIGNS is more SPL orrionted but they dont have horrible SQ either. I will run mine in a 2.75 or 3 cube ported box tuned to 35hertz off a ORION 1200D for know.

well dd recommends a 2.5 ported box tuned to 45 for their 9512 subwoofer

i've emailed them and told them i'm not going for spl but sq and they said that when put in the car...it is actually lower than 45..never got it but they said just built it to that spec and lengthen the port to 18 inches instead of 13 or whatever it is on their website...

never got the chance to build the box for it yet, but will this summer

and i'll post up on sq...right now its in a 3cu sealed...yea yeah, but with what i had to work with at the time...can't do ported

it sounds pretty good not great, but alright...

i'm sure they sound pretty good put into the box that THEY have up on their site
