i got a digital designs 1508 8" svc 4ohm. i paid $150 new, i used it for two months then decided i needed a bigger sub. sounds awesome though. never heard a better 8". paypal only.

I had a 1cuft. Tuned to 34hz, I luved the sound but the dd didn't. I heard they **** in sealed too.

Not sure who feeds you your information...but the DD 8 tested against multiples 8's sealed rated as one of the best SQ subs ever tested...some big Iasca SQ guy from a Nissan Forum did the test...though it was a 1008a that he purchased from me...he also bought a RE 8 from me and about 6 others...from other sources the DD won all test...the 1508 is equally if not better SQ wise sealed than the 1008a ...you may can search the big 8 test on here or the DD forum and read about the DD's SQ wise sealed before making up things....

you may want to try having your box tuned at 40hz for an 8 or a 10 if you want the best sound ...being smaller subs as in any ...smaller subs.... you don't need to go below 38hz....they will have a natural freq response and play lower than tuned.....quality amps have subsonic filters for a reason...most are set for about 25hz...on typical ported sytstems...reason why to keep un wanted waves from destroying your sub or bottoming out on un usable frequencies ...
