DD1 or scope

Ok so I can get a DD1 for $110 used but I wanted to make sure or ask you guy there was any good handheld oscopes for around the same price. And second question which one would you get an why or if you have used the dd1 what's your review.

scope- you can have so many other uses for it.. You can see what's the actual voltage that each piece of equipment is putting out, and any other noise. You can also see if one side of your rca's is bad.

How so I thought that was what it detected well distortion but that would be clipping.

You can't go wrong with either one. I would get an o-scope for reasons already mentioned though.

if you compete in spl, get a termlab. built in 0-scope and spl meter. otherwise get a scope. ive seen the DD-1 be far off from a traditional scope. r1banshee also has a great point too

I never used either one but I bet it don't take long to figure it out either. An I didn't think about that that's a good idea I'll keep it in mind.

Well I'm not a real all out spl guy I just do daily ground an pound demoing etc.... So can you guys refer me a scope cause I'm gonna buy it Thursday when I get paid an if I haven't found a decent scope I'll just get the dd1.

There are some "mini" scopes that guys are using, like this one:

Dd1 hasn't failed me yet easy as **** to use and higher resale value if you get it for 110 use it then sell it the next day for the same price,sold mine in ten min when I was done with it you won't get that with a scope

The only reason a DD-1 will cause clipping is if you are having voltage drop and dont back off of it. That will happen with a O-scope also. Unless you set it up on nothing but battery power.
