even the lowest series of DD can hang pretty well. They can take 300 RMS and 1200 for a burp I believe

I went to competition and wanna get some high scores. I got pretty low on my last run. Another guy had 2 15 DDs and hit 150 dB. I wanna be in that range of dBs.

I wouldn't worry about 600 rms with the 1500 series as long as the signal stay clean

and you aren't gonna hit 150 DB easy.... its gonna take a LOT of work to get there but its possible

the 2500's are rated at 750 and ya gotta figure this..... they lowered their warranty rating so every idiot in the world didnt go out and get 4k rms and try to run it per sub daily and wonder why it doesnt last...... i know my 9518 can deffinatly take more then the 1500 its warranty rating is.....

600 watts and you expect to hit 150? Did you actually look at the that other system you are comparing to that DID hit 150? If its a legit score, you would have noticed much more wattage, extra batts, large power cable, a H.O. alternator etc...

150 is no joke. You are not ready.

I know but i dont have the money for a big system right now. The guy had 2 15 DDs. He had 7500 watt amp. A kinetik battery (2400) and cap.

Well it cost alot of money. Just because you get a speaker that says DD doesnt mean it will do what his did.. If you really dont have the money then there is no point, go for something smaller. My first sub was a 9515 when I was 15 without a job, it sucked.

the z1 deffinatly sucks less power then the 2 vr2000d's i was playin with..... ill give it that much, i think im set with 2 batt's for now with the amount of time im not in my car beatin up the sub....

to p3's comment, start off with a 2512 or 2515 for now, i know of 4 12s cheap.... get a used cheap 2000rms amp and start playin.... gotta start somewhere , figure buy now, sell later and upgrade. ive done it like that for yrs....
