Well i went to my installer's place today and he took a look at the truck (03 f-150 reg cab) and said he thinks 2 10's would be better than 2 12's in a reg cab. He said he can make the box bigger and better and i believe him because he is nationly known and is one of Digital Design's main installers. He has done stuff for Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, many bball players but anyways...here is what he thinks i should do. He wants me to go with 2 10" DD 3510's in a 3.5 or so cu. ft box tuned to about 39 to 40. He said most music is recorded at 45 anyways and most subs play sloppy as hell when tuned that low and if they dont then there not that loud anyways. He can get me the 2 10 3510 series (http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/woofers.asp?series=3500d), Competition amp kit, circuit breaker, and the custom ported box for $900, with my head unit and amp install free also. I dont if anyone has had experience with these subs or heard them or anything but i want to make sure that if i pay this much if it will be louder than like 2 12" Type R's or stuff like that. He played 1 10 of these in the shop in a small ported box off 500 watts and it shook the place hard. Just need help and info. Thanks alot guys

that dont mean nothing lol and who told you he was known as one of the top installers for dd?

tis false also. the lower you tune the better SQ you have

The DD's will be louder cuz they are SPL oriented. the Type Rs will have much better sq (or so ive been told //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

I heard 2 w7 12's today at that guys shop and they werent nearly as loud as DD's. What do you guys think i will be hitting(estimate of course)? I just want to make sure i dont pay this much and then find out i could have had a louder system for alot less ya know.
