DD HU - DDX7017 or? SQ

Hey,

I am in the process of purchasing some car audio equipment for my car, a 2000 Civic Si(Si-R in Canada here) and am at a cross roads for choices.

And now, the decision is what head unit? I am pretty sure i want a Double Din as opposed to a flip out, as i find flip out's not as strong to my liking, and i have the double din slot there, not being used... you know...

I want something with good sound quality, and i'm hooking my ps2 slim up to it(shut up, i think its unique lol). I also want it to have 4 or 5v preouts, crossovers, touch screen, dvd/mp3, etc. for features

I like the Kenwood DDX-7017, what else is out there with features? I have been searching a long time, thing is I am on a budget being in school, and working part time at minimum wage.. I am around the 500, possible 600 dollar shipped to Canada limit.

I found a refurbished Kenwood for 399, plus shipping. Best deal i can find, any help, advice, etc. greatly appreciated.

I was under the impression that the 8xxx series of the ddx's had higher voltage. I've got a 6019 that works great and sounds good. If youre on a budget, get what you can and deal with it!!!

Well... upon reading my post, that is the general idea actually.

The 6019 has 2 volt preout's is my understanding..

I would just get what you can afford. I can attest to the benefits of a 4 or 5 volt deck, but it's not essential to making good sounds. A solid install can sabotage sound faster than some output voltage.
