Not necessarily. JL audio's subs are made to sound good, while DD subs are made to get incredibly loud. It really all depends on your taste.

Why on earth would you buy something not knowing anything about them? If your asking about recones thier blown then right? If you don't know anything about car audio then how do you know about recones?

They are loud, but it's all on your opinion. Some people think that bass is just bass and it sounds all the same. They sound good enough for me.

i think even jassa might hang up on this kid......... this is a very tough read and its only 2 pages so far. but in my own personal opinion w7 rules, everything else is just piss. makes me wonder why DD is the only woofer i used the last 4 years.

lol i know a little here and there got it from a buddy but from what i know the voice coil is kinda screw itll thump but it doesnt sound as nice no more

If your wanting really loud earth shaking low bass get you a set of Funky Pups...and throw the DD in the garbage.....You can read about a build on the forum with 8 Funky Pups if you do a search.....

you know what, i forgot about this, i dont know how i forgot the pups. must be from the brain damage i suffered from the last time i heard a pup setup.
