I'm going to be building a new box soon for them with an interchangeable port. These are going in a 4 door 2000 s-10 (the bigger one) blazer. I have heard all over that port on the drivers side will give an extra 2 db. When I built the box I have now, I built the port on the back of the box but all they way to the driver's side because I thought that's what they meant. I've been told that is NOT what they meant. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

Port on drivers side is usually in reference to a wall

I haven't done enough testing on that truck to say if it would be 2db difference, but aiming the port to the driver side with subs facing up does seem to be the most effective layout for s-10 blazers.
