The treo will sound alot better, as long as you don't get the dual 1's, we have never got those to sound as good as the dual 2's at the shop?

There has been a big improvement since the D motor as far as cooling/ power handling,D motor have their advantages as welli have owned dd and solo x and always wanted a treo. the as far as spl i think the dd and the solo x would be the closest. with the dd probably winning out. if you said a dd 9512 and a solo x 12 i would pick the solo x 12 due to cone area. both subs have proven themsevles very well in the lower street classes of db drag *(street a - c) as far as daily goes, the kicker wont like 3000 rms daily, now dispite what other people say. as far as my owning of a few 9515D series drivers, dd wont like 3000 watts daily. but will probably do better then the kicker. the kicker has a smaller coil. which would help for spl because its lighter. i think as far as power handling goes the treo would be the best. but the treo would be the worst for spl with 3000 watts. the ssx is deffently a sql sub. thats why treo made the csx.
I have not owned the treo,but have freinds that have used them,Not saying anything but those who owned the treo now have 2500s or 9500s.Kicker power rating are stated for spl purpose I guess,not daily.i wonder d how many people here who are recommending these subs left and right have actually used all three...
