thinking about buying one brand new.. what kinda power do you guys recommend?
They have a TON of coil options.any idea if they let you do custom vc configs? the amp i will probablly be getting will be an IA 20.1
thank you sir. from my knowledge(not much) i've seen the audioque hd3's are comparable to the dds... the hd3 15s are only 339, aren't the dd's like 500 each? They have a TON of coil options.
Dual 2, dual 1, dual .5, dual pretty much everything.
As far as I know, the audioque subs are similar to the DD 3500 series or the older 9500 series. Still VERY good woofers for the money.thank you sir. from my knowledge(not much) i've seen the audioque hd3's are comparable to the dds... the hd3 15s are only 339, aren't the dd's like 500 each?
Notice that i didn't say similar design. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThe Audioque HD3's use a motor design unlike the DD3500 or DD9500. The performance is similiar to the DD9500. The DD9500 has "controlled cooling" passages machined into the motor while the AQ uses the standard "heatsink" and air flow type cooling that most other subs use.The AQ design is much cheaper to produce and the price reflects it.
The DD is a better choice for EXTREME high power applications. The HD series will handle the DDZ1amps for burps on less than1 ohm loads without a problem and even lower when you use the dual 1.5 coils.
I believe some one tested all of them, the 3500, 9500 and the HD and they described the audioque subs as beefed up 3500 series and the little brother of 9500. They said they all were great woofers but the 9500 had more output but not by much.As far as I know, the audioque subs are similar to the DD 3500 series or the older 9500 series.
