DD 3515 vs. PSI Platform 2 15"

Thoughts? Comments? Opinions? Doing a single 15" ported SQL build in a 2013 Ford Escape. Sub amp will be a DD m1d, mids probably a DD amp and a Hertz 3 way setup. So what do you guys think 3515 VS Platform 2?

Id go PSI. I think it will be easier to get a linear and accurate response out of the psi. DD gets a bad rap for sounding like trash. I just think most people put them in more output oriented boxes. But still, I think they sound average. Ive heard some nice sounding PSIs

The 3500 is one of the best sounding woofers I've ever heard if you have it setup to sound good.

Btw SQL is a MECA sound quality league. No such thing a sound quality loud.

No I don't know what you want. Do you want sound quality which is like reference level, like a home theater in 2 channel(not quite that good but we try) or do you want loud?

i've used 3500s since the early 2000s. not even close to the brahma, Id max, jbl gti just to name a small few. nothing about DD says SQ. they basically build proaudio drivers for car augio applications.

The 35 IS the best DD platform for sq.... but it still isnt a true sq option. Box and and tuning will obviously make up for alot. But they are far from plug and play.

The pro audio bit is funny.... because there is some truth to it.

People have EMMA SQ titles using DD subs. They can be built anyway you need. Not like ordering from a china build house though.

And that pic is funny considering the orange **** boy has spent about as much in 3 months and it's all went right into his pocket.

building anyway you need and using parts and topology that are built for low distortion are completely different. again i dare you to pt it on the klipple. SQ means next to no output im talking about 140DB and sounding great. I've yet to hear a DD subs sound like a reference SQ woofer..

Possible.. running a biz aint easy thats for sure. But I agree two chances they have too many other good drivers..
