i have a 12" jl w6v.2 that i bought from a pawn shop for 150bucks a while ago and it was mint but then i let my sister use my car not even thinking about it and the next day i drove it and i noticed some mechanical noise coming from the speaker. A different pawn shop said they will give me 80$for it because they couldnt hear the noise off their 25watt amp lol but should i sell it and buy an ssa dcon( cause i dont have much cash) or run w6 because it still works like it used to u just can only hear it when you are up close to it. And do you think the dcon 12 will have more spl in off 500 rms in 34hz tuned box. thanks

if theres a chance of it being messed up, i would but thats just me plus just pitch in a couple more mula an get next level if your worried about not having enough

In a proper enclosure output would be close. The DCON doesn't need more than the 300 watts that it is rated at but you can simply adjust the gain. I would personally rather have a new DCON than a messed up W6.

I know its crazy, ive found lots of old school phoenix gold amps at my local shop ever since it opened.
