They have never done that with anyone I know or myself. I bought two alternators from them, one for me and one for my girlfriend.
Hell, OP could go with just batteries instead of upgrading his alternator if the alternator isn't already going bad. There are plenty of people that run 3k+ with stock alternators. Hell, I got a buddy that had 21k on a stock alternator with two d3100s and a d5100 battery. I have actually ran 2k on my stock alternator and a deka 9a31 and was fine. But it wasn't fine when I was competing.

they tried to get me to buy a couple k worth of gear to run a couple d9s lol. I ended up gettin more then what they wanted me to when it was all said and done but i got a few more d9s as well. kyle knocked off 100 or so for each alt and got em powdercoated free

ill get a second batt and see what happens that's the cheaper route right now

there was a big thread about this.. lol.. some said if the alt wasnt keeping up adding a batt would not help. I have added a batt and it has helped so.. i say its worth a try

thats my problem i keep getting mix messages some say change out the alt some say you can add a extra batt,**** it ill get a alt that will be my best bet its only 300 about the same as a good battery

its different for different cars. and outsideshot probably got the discount and powdercoating for free because how much he spent with them.

OP, it will just depend on how you listen to your system. if you blast it all the time and not give time for the alternator to charge those batteries up and you need to get a good alt that can charge those batteries up fast and help with the current draw. if you play music normally and just blast for demos or whatnot then batteries will be fine.
