I know that the L4XL will OWN the Alpha in every aspect. I have never touched a Nightshade, but I'm sure they have to be badass.
I have a L4XL BTW (Thanks Rusty!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) I've tested it pretty well in a direct drop-in vs. My MT 15". The MT doesnt want none of the L4XL. lol

The Level 4 XL looks very promising, and I cannot promise the Alpha will outdo it in output and I wont claim that.

But you say the XL will own the Alpha in every aspect, yet I dont see an SPL sub outdoing the Alpha in SQ. At all. No disrespect to Rusty, but the Alpha is a **** good sounding sub and from the nitpick I'm hearing about the Lvl 5 it's not a SQ driver, it's more on the Level of a 9500.

And it's not like the Alphas dont get loud. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a few USACi records are held with the Alphas ATM, no?

could you by any chance tell me what type of power you are sending it daily?

and what type of airspace are you giving it?

4ft @ 35hz - 2 4" aero's

2 20.1's @ 1ohm strapped

Different woofers for different applications as well.

I own a RD alpha 18 V.2. I really do like them hit the lows nice definetly sound better then my previous Fi BL's. Alphas can take id say anywhere between 1800-2200 each

i have had an alpha on a t40001bd and a sundown 3000

both at 1 ohm

rf rated at 4800

sundown a bit over 3000 at 14.4 volts

i have 4 15" sundown NIGHTSHADES and 2 SAZ-3000Ds on them and i love the subs they stay quite accurate while getting loud i am getting a 155.4 in a 12ft^3 box tuned to 35 hz daily driver cant say enought good about the nightshades and mine are stock you can custom order them to!!!

Ive decided on getting a 12" level4xl. now if I could just order one. last time I heard from rusty he said it would be a few weeks before they had more...I guess Im just waiting
