Still in complete planning stages... Looking at my possibilities.

First question, DC recommends 3cu/ft for the 15, putting the sub into a larger box, say, closer to 4.5 cubes... Would I benefit at all? I'd assume deeper bass would come with a bigger box. Would I be better off building closer to 3.5 cubes?

I have close to 5 cubes to work with in my trunk. Want to tune to around 33-34... not sure which one I'd like best... Want to get low but want the mid notes to be painful. (For what I'll have.)

Second question. Kind of curious, what would an aeroport do for me in this type of application? I don't know much about aeroports, at all. No idea what size I'd need, length, anything.

Or if it would be louder, more musical, both, or if I wouldn't really notice a difference at all...

Stay within dc's recommended dimensions , rusty knows his subs way better than you do. If you go that big and go well over rated power like I've already advised you not to , you will cook that sub in minutes.

Yes, and I acknowledged you saying that they don't like taking more power than rated. I'll be sticking closer to right around 900 on it. I was just curious as to what to do for the box at this point.

Actually he'll be less likely to cook the sub in a larger box since the sub will reach full excursion on less power than in a smaller box.
