LVL4 wouldn't even compare to an HDC3 with the aluminum coil.

At best you'd have to get the LVL4XL.

In terms of getting loud, I'd have to agree with ya. The HDC3 doesn't sound all that hot imo, though...

Have you looked at these:

x2, we need to know how much power you have available and what kind of space you're working with. If you're looking for a really nice all-around sub, the Xcon is a good option.

The DC will sound good and still get fairly loud...The AQ will not sound great, but is capable of getting very loud. The AQ will pretty much kill notes in the 40s and 50s if you tune where AQ says...The DC will play much lower and have a flatter response if u tune where DC recomends
