DC AUDIO 15" ...voice coil OK????

...i just got my used(or NEW???) DC Audio lvl4 .... and i noticed that the voice coil is a bit on the dark side (or is it only the copper) .... i dont have a amp yet that i could test it ... but i checked the coils and they read 2.3 and 2.4ohm

It is the wire coating (enamel) color - it is probably actually an aluminum coil.

i got coils that have never been in a motor and are black. it is the glue used over the coil as jake said.

Thats the same color my lvl-3 15's were your ok and they were brand new
