DC 270 amp, 110 AH batt. elctrical ?

Get a volt meter to see what's going on, but you should be fine with what you have. Another batt wouldn't hurt though...

I run an AQ3500 at .5ohm daily with a 270xp and a Deka in the trunk.

^^ Ran my aq2200 @.5 with a single deka9a31 and 130amp alt. Had no problems staying in the mid 13's and would never dip past 12.8 or so which is well within the ok range. Later added a second deka which help stabalize my voltage a good bit more.

forgot to mention i do have a volt meter also.. you guys just wire it straight off the amp?

that makes me feel better:fro:

Doesn't matter where you hook into....its a circuit.......it reads the same all round.

Also your 270 amp alt at idle is more like a 150 amp alt. Say your vehicle pulls 40 - 50 amps continuous......leaves ya with 100-110 amps. so without using a batt, you can support 1400 watts.

Your aq should do round 4k at 0.5. But you are going to have rise to at least 2 ohms or better. 2 Ohm power is roughly 1k. So you should be just fine with what you have.

lawl @ 150:laugh:

it does 206 at idle.... and my truck has NO POWER anything..

a voltage meter cant read the same all around, if you wire it at the front batt, and wire another at the rear batt, the reading will never be the same.

but ****, itll rise all the way to 2 ohm in a 3 cu ft box?

Chemmins your free to watch the YouTube vids that dcpower posted of their xp270 alts doing 200+ at idle but conservatively it will do 180+ now as far as rise goes it shouldn't even be mentioned in a daily system with music being dynamic its not a steady sine wave so the actual load will spike and dip all over the place.
