is A sub just as loud with 100rms at 2 ohms as it is with 100rms at 8 ohms?

If the sub is actually receiving 100w (regardless of resistance) it shouldn't make a difference, I wouldn't think.

Now if the amp being used puts out 100w @ 2 Ohms then it isn't going to output 100w @ 8 Ohms....likely more like 25w or so...

yes. the only difference the resistive load makes, is the load the amplifier will see. if they both get equally 100wrms, they will sound the same (of course theoretically speaking).

so im going from A amp that's 50rms@8ohms

to A amp that's 300rms@2ohms... so I shoud be getting about A

Not really.

Generally speaking (assuming the amp in question is 2 Ohm stable) an amp that will make 50w @ 8 Ohms should make around 200w @ 2 Ohms.

100w gain isn't going to get you 15dBs in this universe or any other.

no... in theroy you should be getting about a 7-8db gain

it says 150@4ohms more like 100 or 75 at 4ohms plus im running it at

8ohms so the sub is getting like 50rms or so
