Db651 vs p662

Looking at these coaxes and also the components versions.originally I bought the jbls. Then when I finally got around to swapping out my stock tweets it was night and day how much cleaner crisper and well blended the polk db tweeter was. Now I'm wondering if I should switch out my Jbl speakers in front and rear with polk. You know on paper the jbls blow polk away not only specs but even build they have much larger magnets like 3 times the size stiffer way stiffer cone large voice oil when you see both side by side it's like looking at a infant next to a grown man. But does that deffinantly mean if I take out the Jbl and add the polk I'll have worse sound less bass less volume etc or can specs and size be deceiving?

are you amping the speakers or running them off the h/u? Are your doors deadened?

Are you saying the polk tweeters sound better than the Jbl tweeters or the stock tweeters?

Doors are deadened and yes amped. The Polk to my surprise sounded way better than Jbl and the stock. I tried them just for the heck of it and was shocked. So that's what makes me wonder if I should try the db651 and 6501 I have sitting in my closet. But just feel like how could ey sound better when the Jbl p660c I have now are huge beasts compared to polks

Did you mess with crossover settings once switching them out? How much power were you sending them? Better meaning louder? Clearer?

if you think that the polks sound better then just run them. Dont make your choice more difficult than it really is,lol. Just because the Jbl's are bigger doesnt really matter if the Polks sound better to you. I actually prefer the Jbl's myself. Had a set of the ones that were previous to what you have and they sounded great! Had those same polks before and wasnt pleased at all.

Certain speakers require more power to get as loud as another.

The tweeters are crisper cleaner and same loudness. And I have always loved Jbl. Yea I'll probably try the polks for the doors they just look so puney next to these monster jbls

The JBL P660c tweeter should be brighter than the DB and the P660 mid will be more durable and will have more lower end mid bass than the 6501 mid, but if you like the way the polks sound then run them but the JBL's should be better in everyway compared to the DB6501

He has the p662,coaxial set vs. comps(p660c). Regardless, I still would prefer the Jbl

I have both versions of polk and Jbl sitting here db651 db6501 p660c and p662 right now I have the Jbl p660c but was considering going to polk after hearing the tweeters and knowing I deffinantly prefer them but was curious what others though. I'm surprised you said Jbl get lower the Polk are rated at 35hz and Jbl 45hz
