how much is a dB meter that i could mount in my glove box or front dash and i learned in Phys. Science that 120 db causes hearing loss lol looks like might go deaf lol 150 is a rock concert 170 is a plane taking off 200 is a rocket taking off loldoes like anyplace like best buy circuit city or even walmart sell them? any help appriciated

dont know if it helps you, but to answer your question, check out Audiocontrol's Epic 160...it is a dash mountable unit with a 160 db spl meter, system voltage monitor AND BASS EPICENTER to boot..sounds awesome for about 200 bucks @ woofers etc.

the epic is a cool thing, but no substitue for a tl

although its cool to have the meter right there and the epic makes it even better

x2..no doubt..but he was lookin to shop at wal-mart...you are right though..a few bucks more and a Laptop, TL would be the way to go
