yea it was a joke... but whats this about a vacuum chamber? how can you even have sound in a vacuum, if there is no air to pressurize? i bet you could hit 190 with a single legacy 12 sealed..... with a few EXTREME modifications to the legacy

I have heard of another one, although it's not "cool" spl. There's seriously a german audio team that designed a van to exactly match the wavelenght their one 15" sub would make at a certian htz/volume. It hits like 180, and I don't know whether this is true or not, but this van can blow up concrete blocks. It's just one massive burp for 3 seconds. Any longer and everything would melt.

I need to find that website my friend said it was on. Sounds like a load to me, but you never know with those sneaky Germans.

Not dissing Dave, he's a good freind and very loud... but he only did a 169.9 at drag finals... all the other scores were on the old mics which were very high... truth is the loudest in the world right now are in the 172ish range.
