hey its clear im not over driving the subs they sound clean they dont sound good if i go up to like 50 on my radio for some reason mayb some cliping going on

I agree, if you're happy with what you have, thats great

however, if you would listen to a really good system...you might change your mind.

and by the way, Here's the breakdown of what I spent on my little system

2RE8 subwoofers in a custom built, ported box...bought from a friend for $175

Pioneer DEH4800 HU....bought brand new for $175 IF I remember right.

Memphis PRD500.1 amplifier $165

Stinger 4ga Amp wiring kit $20

total-$535....if I did the math righ

and I hit 135.5dbs on a termlab last year with a 400 watt amp...so I MAY be a little louder now.

also, just a note....though it does get reasonably loud....I have noticed that the quality of the sound is GREAT. I hear all these other peoples systems bumping and they have tons of distortion.....but mine sounds clean and tight....which in my opinion makes it better

edit> One more thing.....if you want your system to really sound right....disconnect the rear speakers, and get rid of that PA horn...lol, still can't believe that one.

We know your car has sweet uber flex and your bumper wants to fall off. We got it by the 10th time you said it.

But seriously you need to maybe listen to some people who have more knowledge in this area than yourself. Let me guess, your personal god is the w7 like the rest of the people who are like you.

Take some advice, learn and listen instead of DUDE I GOT A GREAT DEAL. Not really, you can fine that stuff on the forums for like 150$.

im a *** yeah right. i got my 200 radio for only 100 my amp was 150 my subs were 100 for the 2 and my box was 140. my kit was like 40 dollars. and my pa horn was like 35 dollars. i had the door speakers allready and my 6x9 allready. so thats like 500 with tax..for now i want to put 15inch subs in my car real bad . im gona give the big 3 a try tomrrow.

what car do you have? I would have one of the guys on here or me build you a ported box for some "good" 12's and you would see a great increase

i have a 1999 ford escort it was hard for me to get my box in there. each chamber is 3 cube feet i think. and the box is tuned to 33 i gota check out the spec sheet

instead of just throwing 15s in there for the sake of having some large speakers in your car, do some research. One good 15 will blow away 2 shitty fifteens. If you rush into buying new subs you will make a bad decision. The best thing for you to do would be to save your money and do it right this time. whats your budget for the 15(s) you are looking to buy?

Well it really comes down to if i need a new battery if i hold off on the battery i can do like 250
