Db Drive Platinum?

I have a friend who swear db drive is the best thing out there, there platinum stuff of course. He said there is nothing better that dbm which i doubt. He also stated 2 12 db platinum subs would out pound kicver l7? Is this so? Any advice would be great, so I can see the other side.
