Dayton Ultimax 10"

Looking for a nice sound quality woofer preferably a 10" what are the specs you would put a Dayton Ultimax 10" in a sealed box and ported box. Sealed it calls for 0.585ft3 and ported it says 1.55ft3 @ 22 hertz. What is something more musical?


Also how does it compare to the image dynamics idq 10?

What about the Focal E30KX or the 33KX? How does it compare to Image Dynamics

all of those will sound really good, about the same. the 33KX wont hit has hard

id get the IDQ, best sub for the $ out of all those

Look at the SSA Gcon too. I love the way they sound and don’t need much power

Don’t do the Dayton ultimax ported. IMO. It will sound ok, but it’s far better suited for sealed enclosures. I really like the Dayton ultimax subs personally, but I’ve never heard the IDQ. If nauc says the IDQ is better, go with that.

Dayton HO is a nice sub. Do very well sealed Ive done in 1.4.. and a pair ported in 2,5@ approx 35htz

Was thinking of doing a alpine X 12 sealed in 1.25ft3 on a pdx M12 and call.it a day. I think I'll get the best world's as I'll have the highest RMS woofer in a sealed box with the most xmax

Dayton Ultimax 10. Don't put more than 500w rms on a single 10. Sounds great in a ported 1.45cu ft box. Not terribly loud though on its own in a trunk. Just fyi.
