Dayton rs 7" or Ascendant 6.5" poly mid

i am looking to replace my cdt hd mids with one of these.

the daytons would be a perfect drop in fit but the AA's would require some modification to the door/window to get the depth needed.

SLAMMED please chime in.

and i will have my dayton tweets in soon crossed at 1.8-2k so i am not worried about any of the problems with the dayton playing up high.

I waited for the ology mids

then the daytons were the new thing

but those AA's have so much more excursion than the daytons and they can take more power

well would the larger size and increased difficulty of install make it worth it?

i just picked up a gallon of resin and alot of crap today so i might make a pair of kick pods for them if it is too difficult to fit them in the door.

and at the moment i will only have about 50-65 watts going to them

Im liking the Daytons, Im happy I stayed with them.

They have nice midrange and get pretty low. Not as snappy as my Seas CA18RNX, but gets close. Its a great driver, I have no complaints //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I dont know much about those Ascendant mids, but I must say that you cant always base your decision on numbers.

i say dayton rs. the daytons have been tested and herald as a great mid. many have given great reviews to it even as far as saying that the build quality and performance of the dayton rs is worth a $100 mid. AA we don't know what they are capable of yet. the mids just came out, while the daytons have out for a long time and many DIYers have been extremely happy.
