I got my Dayton Reference 7's one day after I orderd from parts express.

Now I'm popping them in my Ranger!!!!

Yay!

JOY!

All I have to do to get them to fit in the stock speaker holes in the front doors is bend the sheetmetal inwards slighly with pliers, and they plop right in!!!

Ha, well... Pics in the morning compadres, it's dark as hell out there.

I am so far not impressed. HOWEVER, running in an undeadened door with no baffle to speak of, no proper tweeter, headunit power and nothing but Shadows Fall it's difficult to get the jist of the sound.

I think I'm going to run Boston ProSeries 4.5's as mids/highs (4" comp set)... Should work nicely I think.

I get fairly good prices from PE now, but the quantities would make it more enticing to play with em.
