Dayton fans...which sub, H.O. or Titanic MKIII?

I've started part time at a shop and can now get products at cost. Thing is I am still on a budget and can't afford the flashy expensive Focal stuff, and don't really like the Hertz setups I've heard. That being said, I'm picking up a bit one and a LRx5.1k to run my system. I'm going to stay 2-way up front for now with mids in fiberglass kicks and tweeters in glassed A-pillars (not sure on or off axis yet). I'm going to have about 700-800w at 4ohms or 1050-1100 at 2ohms for the sub. I've been wanting to go IB for forever, and it looks like either of these will work IB (or sealed if I don't make it happen). I want to do either 2 12s or 1 15 of each one, whichever I go with.

They will be paired with either Dayton RS180 7" mids or Peerless HDS 6.5, and my tweeter choices I have are Dayton RS28 aluminum domes, Vifa XT25 or a Vifa Neo tweeter. I think I'm going to buy all the mids and tweeters and try them out, and sell whatever I don't use. Basically with this build I want to have the expensive amp and processor, but hide all the speakers (or have no logo on the cones) so when I demo the car people won't make assumptions about what I'm running. Sorry for long post, but thoughts from people who have used these subs?

I know. My damn log-in got deleted over there and I can't make a new sn because my email is already in use. And I use this forum more. I know there are a few people on her who have ran one or the other though. If I can fit a 15

at an angle, maybe I will just buy both and try them; if not maybe I'll just get all 4 12s, try them and sell the others. Meh...

I hate to say it, but that's probably your best bet. FWIW, that's what I do - buy the products that interest me and listen for myself. There's just no other way to aim for success, if one's orientation revolves around a given measure of sonic quality. Good luck.

I thought the HO could get by in a smaller enclosure than the Titanic?

ETA: I was told that the HO was better suited for the automotive environment whereas the Titanic was better for HT use based on the enclosure required for each respective series. As with anything, I say the install will have more to do with it than your choice of individual driver.
