The subwoofer does not seem to be designed for car audio. In a 1.5cu ft sealed box, qtc is at 0.95. PE's recommendation is 3.0 cu ft sealed box for 0.707 qtc alignment.

Perhaps the 10 inch version would do better. PE recommends 0.63cu ft box with f3 at 45Hz.

That's what threw me off with the 12. 3 sealed and 4 vented is PE's recommendation. I would like to try one in an HT setup though... They look impressive.

Yeah that was the ten's specs I used

I gotta save up now. Gonna put my two eights in the wifes Tiguan and buy two of these 10's for my car. Just can't decide if I wanna keep my amp and run a lower wattage amp or not. May just keep mine. Can't hurt to have more headroom.
