Dave Mathews Thread

been to their concert last year and the year before... when the band members start going off in their solos it is amazing. Also got smoked out from random people at the concert was good too.

****it this site did it's stupid update whenever I was typing my paragraph out for the SECOND time.

So I'll shorten what I was going to say YET AGAIN. The band is decent but I wouldn't say they are life changing. They are all musically talented. If you are a guitar player you know that Dave has quite the "reach" on the fretboard and some songs can be difficult to play(if you are playing them correctly). Now Carter on the other hand is just out of this world on the drums. His technique, his rhythm, his groove if you will is beyond that of "todays" drummers. I mean seriously, go to a drum forum and just try to find some people who don't find him extremely talented. Now if you can't appreciate them as musicians then I'm sorry to say you either A) don't play an instrument or B) listen to absolute garbage, lets say Hinder for an example.

Oh I've seen them once before in Dallas and I'm going to see them again in September this year(same place).

That is all.

I like Dave Mathews and I have never been high on MJ while I listened. However, if it is that much better maybe I should.

Unfortunately I don't have any MJ. Does anyone think that OxyContin would work just as well?

Big DMB fan... Stand up was just ok for me though, I much prefer their live stuff!
Live at Luther and Central Park are 2 of my favs..
the live at Central Park is def one of my favorites as well. I didn't care for Stand Up to much either. Dream Girl was about the only thing I liked off that album.

az you are right, it does sound good on a system.

i had a buddy who would give me rides home from soccer and track practice before i got my own ride. every single day he would play styx or dave mathews band. he was the only person in the school with an actual "system" and not just subs. it sounded fantastic, although i wasnt a fan of his music, i appreciated the way it sounded on a well constructed system. indeed, he was a pot head. at the time, i wasnt, and now i am, but i still dont really listen to dave mathews band...
