yo... im using the metra dash kit.. and its like not going in all the way like it sticks out.. theres ywo little black peices in the box it came in.. and my hu came with alot of little screws and 2 like "keys" i think they are called to get the metal casing off does this have anything to do with why its not going in? pllllzz help i cant find anything on the internet about this..

trying to install an aftermarket headunit... and it wont go in all the way..

I did that with my HU, with the stock bracket, it wouldn't go in right. I had just put it on backwards. Make sure it's the right way out.

Also, it's hard to tell without pictures.

your HU might bee to deep for it to fit. certain vehicles can only accomadate (xxx") of HU length. so your HU could be to long, take a tape measure and mesaure from when the begginning of the opening is back to the farthest the HU can go. but measure it in the middle. then measure the length of your HU and see how the lengths match up.

No.

First you would look to see what is stopping the HU from going in deeper and if that can be moved or modified.

if not you give up on that headunit.
