Dash/Parking Light Issue

Hi, I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra.

I just installed a Pioneer Head unit and now have a problem.

Since the install the dash and parking lights do not work.

There are 2 wires the are not connedted to the new wire harness I got from Crutchfield. They are a red w/yellow trace and a blue w/silver trace.

When I connect either to 12v + the work fine but are not controlled by the stalk switch???

Where should they be connected?

I'm lost please help.

Not trying to be a d!ck but call up Crutchfield they have pretty good customer service.

Also consult your vehicle's owners manual, it might tell you what those wires are and what they need to be attached to.

if they don't match up to anything on the wiring harness plug... don't use them...

Check your fuses that R/Y i believe is your illumination B+ im looking at a diagram now and fuse 1 is the B+ for that so check your fuses maybe it somehow hit ground and blew the fuse.

Hi,

Here's a follow-up on the situation:

I finally have the parking lights working via the stalk switch.

The dash panel lights still do not work???

There are (3) wires from the "harness that have no home yet.

they are:

Yellow w/ red stripe and blue bands: +12v switched via the light stalk switch

Red w/ yellow stripe: +12v switched via the light stalk switch

Blue w/ white stripe and sivlve bands: unknown source or destination

Does anyone have the schematic to help??
