for some reason the headunit just really looks out of place like it's just "floating" there. but killer job bro. excellent work.
I actually did have the same brand of clearcoat and black semi-gloss the first time. It was just a different version, I think that was it. I went back to HD and bought some of the same type of clear this time.Yeah, just make sure you get paint and clear coat by the same company this time. I prefer dupli-color. I actually did something like you about 5 months ago and it still looks magnificant. I get compliments on a daily basis about it. I did my whole dash though, including gauage cluster, air vents, and shift boot. I'll get pictures later today if you'd like.
Well I said earlier in this thread that I was just putting them in my car to get a feel of how they would look. I'm not leaving them like that.looks great, I think u should resand the clear coat and do a clean layer, it'll come out so much better, right now it kind of looks mismatched

Good idea with the guide coat.yea i would redo it and not use any clear...imo spray can clear isnt worth a shit...either leave it off or find someone to spray some real clear for ya...also i know your done with the priming stage but next time use a guide coat after u prime..for guide coat just take black(or any dark color) spray paint and dust is or the primer..when u sand it the black will show ur pinholes and low spots![]()
i personally think its much more rewarding to do it yourself, and more funi bought one just like at the store for 10 bucks....
