i tried to ship a package, 2 cdt ef8's via ups which were tapped together and wrapped in brown paper so that it appeared as one box to save shipping.

ups told em that i cant have paper cuz it might rip off and then the label will come off.

so i took off the paper and then the guys said that the tape holding them together wouldnt hold, due to them being, and i quote "tossed around" during shipping. so i said oh in that case ill ship it with someone else who wont "toss" my stuff around.

I remember when my friend ordered a pair of Type R's. We watched UPS deliver to his doorstep (we were down the street and we watched from about 50yards away) and the UPS guy carries one box and chucks it up his steps (it's a 9 set of stairs) so he doesn't have to walk up them. We see the 1st box slam onto his cement porch. Then he goes back and gets the 2nd box and hurls it even higher so it stacks on the first box. Well, he missed and it just flew over and slammed into his front door. We could hear the slam echo from down the road!

We ran over and open up the boxes to see if the Type R's were alright, and luckily they were. Just the boxes were roughed up from the UPS abuse.

yeah **** UPS, I recently shipped a small component amp, wrapped it about 10 or 12 times over in bubble wrap, then made wads of bubble wrap as spacers between the amp and the inside of the box, I shook the open box and nothing budged. it got the buyer and one of the terminals was broken....grrrrr

Well, I think UPS is the most used courier... thus, ish like this happens all the time.
