Mixing VC configurations!

ok guys here the deal trying to help an freind out. just found out RE is no longer making 18" RE sxs. i sold my buddy my old 2 that i had which was dual 4s and its hard as hell to find 2 more dual 4s so my question is could he run say the dual 2 subs series/parallel for an 4 ohm load and, run just 1 vc on the dual 4's? i know its not recommended to run1 vc but at this point he doesnt care ?

With only 1vc, you are cutting the power handling in half!

You can mix dual 4's and dual 2's though..

yea thats what we figured **** didnt know re would stop selling 18" SX cold Turkey! pissed us off really you see **** dual 2s everywhere
