So my 5 yr old kicker L5 stopped working and when I took it out of the enclosure I noticed one of the leads broke off from the terminal. I tried to solder it back on best I can but I **** at soldering. I managed to get the lead to stay connected to the terminal. After putting the sub back in the box and hooking it back up it was working again. Problem is, higher frequency bass sounds God awful. Mid frequency and low frequency bass sounds really good still. What could be making the higher frequency bass sound so terrible when the lower stuff still hits pretty hard?

Kickers are bad about that ...Ive seen those leads burnt into on a lot of them...

Is there a fix for it? Or am I stuck getting a replacement? I can get a used L7 for 200 but if I can fix it for cheaper I'd rather do that.
