DA vs MA?

So it has been brought to my attention to possibly rethink my amp investment. I was initially going to go with a Diamond Audio D3 400.4, but after talking to someone at a local shop, he recommended getting a MA 16-MCA3004 or 16-MCA2004. the 2004 is very similar in specs to the DA, while the 3004 has a lil better watts@RMS. The pricing is about $175 for the 2004 and $250 for the 3004. He was also talking about doing the MA 16-MCH1300 for like $500 as just an all in one amp. Everything will be running off a Pioneer DEH-P680MPH deck and if things go good with 6spd the amp will be powering some Rainbow SLC 265's. I've owned an amp from both and in terms of build quality there is no comparison. DA builds much nicer equipment.

does that shop sell Da just out of curiosity ...never owned a memphis amp but i have owned a diamon d6 and i can say that IMO they just look better both are solid amps from what ive read tho

yes, they r able to obtain DA if needed. Granted I think he was trying to push stock/profit a tad more, but am really curious to what others think on the subject.

Sorry..but I can't help but wonder if you are talking about MA Audio and not Memphis.

The reason I ask is the thread title made me think the op ment MA Audio.

Memphis is a very respectable brand of amp that is comparable to Diamond so either would be a good choice. MA is crap on par with Audiobahn.

He's talking about Memphis, although I thought it was MA also when I read the thread title. Just did a search on the model number and it came up as Memphis.

D3's are SOLID. The most reliable amplifier Diamond has ever offered. May have something to do with the engineer that designs them
