D61000.1 or JL 1000/1?

Hey guys!

I'm torn between a couple of amps and need some help from people who might have ran these or can give me some input

I have 2 12w6v2s in a ported box. They are currently being ran off of a Lanzar Heritage HTG2600D (more info on this amp here: http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?MODEL=HTG2600D )

They hit really well, but every stereo shop or stereo guru has told me to get a nicer amplifier and these W6s will really perform like they should. What I have narrowed it down to is either the Diamond Audio D61000.1 or the JL Audio 1000/1. Out of these two amps, which one would perform better? There is about a $200 difference between the Diamond and JL, leading me to believe, is the JL really worth that extra $200? Boy, i'm confused:crap: Thanks for any help in advance!

There are two main differences between those amps (outside of price) and both differences have to do with the power supplies within those amps.

The JL unit will deliver 1000w at any impedence between 1.5 and 4 Ohms. No matter how you hook it up within that range you'll get the same output whether it is going into 1 sub or 20.

The Diamond amp, on the other hand, will only give you 1000w when shown a 1 Ohm load - but it will deliver the same output anywhere from 11 volts to 16 volts input (no output variance due to voltage increase/decrease)

So - whichever of those two would work best for you go that route. To me personally JL isn't worth the asking price. It is definately solid gear - don't get me wrong - I'm not hatin' (on anything but the pricetag!) but if those two amps are your final choices then I cannot see you being unhappy with either. Both are rock-solid units that should serve you well for a long time to come.
