Just give it a thurough once-over - check your install - check the driver - if it persists, call up SI and talk with them - they'll be able to help you out.

I had to reglue the landing on one of my woofers.. long time ago.. slip up at the buildhouse on it..
you may want to check that.. its an easy fix...

Yep, this has been pretty much the only type problem that has been seen so far that I am aware of -- and you can count the number of those on one hand. As Loyd said, it is an easy DIY fix or you can send it back to SI to have it done for you if that is the culprit.

I *think* there may be one instance of a blown coil out of all the drivers out there. So it's doubtful that is what happened.

Yep, basically what the others have said. We have had one legit blown driver sent back to us. How it was blown still boggles us (supposedly only 600 watts going to it). Anyway, take the driver out and check the spider landing. That has been the only problem we have had with the Magnum's, and like sundownz said, we can count those instances on one hand. Email us about the situation and we'll take care of it.

ok, i just pulled my sub out t check it.. whe i pus in the cone. slowly, it makes a scratchy sound.. and when i push it normal, it makes like a tap - knock sound....

it still hits as hard as it did... but jus sounds nasty.....

did you check the landing? you have to actually grab it and try to move it.. since the woofer has woven leads, its not gonna be obivious if its loose...
Loyd L.
yeah i found the problem...its the frame that holds the spider.. its loose/ unglued... d i need to just reglue it?? if so, w/ wha type of glue.. or do i just send it back in.??

and if i fix it myself, will that void the warranty???

yea thats not a major problem.....what happened was the glue wasn't holding the spider to the frame strong enough in one spot...so when it was playing the spider came lose in one spot.....then the coil was able to misalign thats where the rubbing sound was coming from....depending on how long you played it like that the coil could be scratched up pretty bad but it depends how long you played it...if you feel you played it for a long time send it back to SI to have a new coil put in...if not then go to your local hardware store...get a two part five minute epoxy and just glue that spider down on the edges like a mo fo......(courtesy of david) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

good luck

hey guys. how much room do i need from the box to my seat for D2's. when my seat is all the way back and my back rest is back. i can get it to touch the top of my box.but since its at a angle (my box) it touches the top of the wood doesnt really scrap against the whole where the D2 will be. but it may be close.. how much room must i have for the sub to be screwed into the box.. is it ok if my seat touches it. or like just a hair off?
