CVX12 in a K1500

I just bought a 1998 K1500 regular cab truck. I'm going to attempt to squeeze my cvx12 behind the 60/40 bench seat. I ran the following measurements through to RE enclosure calculator. Width 50 inches, height 18 inches, top depth 4.5 inches, bottom depth 9.5 inches. With 24.75 square inches of port it comes out to 2.4 cubic feet and tuned to 32.5hz.

I was going to do driver on the passenger side and port on the drivers side of the cab. That way I can make a spacer ring to mount the speaker if I have to. My wife is short, she won't miss the legroom. The other thought I had was to slightly relieve the back wall of the box for clearance and reinforce it with resin.

I'll be throwing approximately 600watts at this speaker for now. Amps will go under the seats or mounted on plastic trim beneath the rear window.

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I think you're plan is solid....very well thought out. I've had a real hard time with getting loud in my Ranger but the Chevys have a lot more room so you should be good. I used to have a 96 Silverado and there should be plenty of room under the seat for the amp if I remember correctly. Good luck with everything and post some pics when you get it done!
