they are good subs. comparable to the type R. known to get a little louder and sound a little better but you pay a little more. they can take anywhere from 1K to 1.5K safely and have the same motor structure as the 06 L7. the CVX might be getting an update from kicker soon to a new basket/motor/cone because its been a few years and they usually update every 2-4. they are solid subs but cant be fixed unless you send them to kicker, as most store available speakers are.

CVX's are the best thing that ever happened to me..they got stolen almost a year ago..had they not been stolen I never would have found brands such as Fi, Sundown, DD..etc.

So I was on santa's lap and asked for one of the worst subs ever made.... Christmas morning came and under the tree several boxes laid. I opened them and to my suprise, kicker cvx laid before my eyes. I hooked them up expecting some beat, I closed up my trunk and sat in the driver's seat. I tweaked on the eq to adjust the tone, then turned up the volume and BAM they were blown. I saw lots of smoke so I hit pause, from then on I been like F*** YOU santa clause. I wanted something with mad distortion but it still plays, I expected funky pups... Happy Holidays!

my two CVX were so loud I shattered my windshield and set off all the car alarms from 2 blocks around....i believe they may of made the earths axis tilt just a little...not to bad for running off a Sony Xplode 2000

I have 6-15" cvx's in my Tahoe with only 3600 watts rms powering them. It bends metal, breaks glass, and destroys every movable part in my truck and does in the 150's (db) with the Term Lab meter all day, Oh yeah in a sealed enclosure, WoW! I love ya KICKER MAN!

Modern day Kicker Comp, if you are old enough to remember when everyone wanted Kicker Comps. They are fairly average subs these days, and Im not a fan of Kicker's choice in aesthetics. But, they are... okay.
