friend had a 12inch rf xlc laying around i think it does somewhere around 200 watts rms and i hooked it up to my aq 2200d..i think its like 7 or 8 ohms but im not sure what my amp does at that power and not sure how the sub will take it..its fine now but i havent really tried to test it cuz i dont wanna blow the thing

you need to watch that amp at that ohm load it could cause over heating of the rails and fets to blow....i'd never run less than 2 ohms on that amp....it can be very unstable
ur mean more then 2 ohms? and im not in need of a sub, im waiting fora sub to come in the mail which is y im using this sub just to have something to listen too..and thanks for the advice cuz i think id rather not have my amp **** up off of a 200 rms sub

Reminds me of my Crossfire BMF1000d. That amp goes against the grain because it heats up faster at 4 ohms than it does at 1 ohm. It doesn't get any hotter than it does at 1 ohm, but it sure does get there FASTER.
