I'm gonna b doin a custom install on a 05 Altima.

My first choice was 1 jl w7, but f I was gonna spend the money on a w7 I was gonna spend the money on a 1000/1.

So to save money i'm thinking 2-12" CVX.

In the past I have done miracles with numerous installs w/ CVR's.

double and quad setups that demolished the competition. So I was gonna go wit

l7 but its square and sound waves r not square...../////

Reading the forums there is alot of hype for the type R for the money.

What should I choose?

The setup is gonna b a rear deck install. I want spl but I would like to have some sq because strangely its gonna b a daily driver. (I have bad a addiction to bass...)

I want to go ported but i'm gonna post the thread b4 i decide and I want 2 go with a kicker zx amp but I might go with hihfonics, but thats for a different thread.

Feel free to comment it would b greatly appreciated.

yea you deffinately wanna go with a round sub since sound waves are round. Square waves dont have the intensity. I say go with the w7 and 1000/1 since jay el rules da world

out of cvx and type r go with the type r and throw about 300rms to it over the rating

LMFAO... I here triangle waves are where it's at... get some Bazooka subs. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

lol.

just askin a question and talking about what i heard.

Haterz sayin u doin somethin right.

Have fun wit those bazookas.

but i did hear about an audo device that produces low sound waves like a subwoofer and it look like a glass.

I don't know how good it is in the ear of an audiophille but its out there.

Oh, you were being serious? Wikipedia ftw... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_waves -- the shape of the driver has NOTHING to do with the 'shape' of the sound wave being produced. Whoever you heard that from, ignore them from now on.
But whatever... I'd choose CVX's over Kicker square subs myself, but not for the reasons you mentioned. If getting loud is what you want, you can't argue the Hype R's bang-for-the-buck abilities... but a pair of CVX's ported would still do quite nicely for an SQL setup, and they would need a little smaller box.

sounds good.

What more can i expect if I was 2 go wit the type X.?

Is the hype true?

Will both my SQ & SPL b noticeably louder?

Is it more of a SQ sub or a SPL sub?

Actually the Phoenix Gold Rsdc is the best bang for the buck now. Sounds way better then the type r. and gets louder I think. Listened to both in optimal enclosures.

I would go with the CVX's myself. I have had both the Type R's and CVX's and I enjoy the overall sound with the CVX's. I did 141.2 on the TL with my R's, but was with 2 of them and 1200rms. How people give them 300-500 extra per sub with out destroying it is beyond me, but hey whatever. Right now, I am doing almost 140 dbs with one CVX and is as loud to the ear than my R's and getting only 750rms. So less powe, less subs, smaller box and just as loud! Both boxes are sealed by the way. R's they say you should go porterd, CVX you can do either and still sound good.

R's lasted me almost 3 years pounding on them. Only had the CVX 4 months now.

Say get two CVX's and if you have the room, a nice ported box and a good 1500rms amp and make sure your electrical is decent and viola!

First, I would highly recommend an English lesson so that i can better understand what you are trying to say.

Second, if you are going ported R, sealed CVX.
