they do make different blades for different uses, i shop at home depot and i use the irwn blades, but they make them with different tooth counts ie. riping wood where you do not need a clean nice cut just cut the wood, but for mdf i enjoy a finer toothed blade for flawless cuts and the eaise of cuting thru the wood without burn
Any general purpose blade should work fine. If I'm building a simple box I usually have Home Depot make the cuts for me on their saw. Saves me tons of time and clean up.
Weaksauce, i make all my cuts with a fiskars scissors and my uberly strong fingers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif.
On the smaller cuts, I just score the MDF with a file and give it a good amount of pressure on both sides... usually results in a nice, clean snap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Elmer's stick glue is a great seam sealer and I hear it has like 1,000,000,000# of holding strength.
I just use whatever random blade is in the table saw. Also, like it was mentioned, if you know what cuts you need to make, get home depot or lowes to make the cuts for you. Saves me a LOT of time.
yea i just made a box with some cheap *** 5/8 plywood cause lowes here doesnt have mdf. but imma go to home depot on wends day. do the charge to cut it?
