Customization of CR-V

I currently have a 2011 Honda CR-V EX-L. There are two things I want to accomplish:

1. Rewire the USB port in the glove box into the central console.

2. Add hands free audio control

I'm not necessarily looking for specific detailed steps but rather learn from the general wisdom of this group. I have no prior experience with customizing a vehicle. Thank you kindly.

i dont have an 11' so idk what the headunit looks like. i have an 07' ex-l that only offered a 3.5mm input in the center console.

my work around was to get a new headunit. i bought an android unit from avinusa. direct fit into dash. super easy to install. i did mine in bout 30 min or so

Also, i have basically the same car, so if you need help with routing power wires, rca or whatever, im pretty familiar with the V. Dont be afraid to ask, ill help as much as i can

Thank you for the suggestion and offer of help. Im curious though, would this only offer a Bluetooth connection or would it make hands free voice control possible as well? I'd really like to be able to control the iPod or iPhone by speaking commands. Seems like a safer way to control the music while driving. Other cars that have this option seem to have a mic above the drivers seat.

im not sure it does that, but, i havent explored the MANY android features my HU has.

You could pop over to avinusa.com and tommys usually always on live chat. he can answer any/ all questions you have. he knows these units in/out!!
