Sparks mean its working!
I'll be building an enclosure for the woofer I bought from TeamPSI soon. I know a few people on this forum have bought thes subs from him so I thought I'd ask. I figured out the dimensions, and I can get around 2.6 cuft before sub and port displacement. I looked on TCs website and the recommended enclosure for the TC-2000 (Also a TC9-based woofer) is 2 cubes with one 21" long, 4" diameter round port. So do you think that my box (56"x13"x5"Top Depth-11"Bottom Depth; .5" MDF backplate and bottomplate; .75" mdf for the rest) would be good for my woofer? I was planning on using 2 4" flared ports with 10" of length each so i can get the same port volume as the TC-recommended box.

Good to know. How would I get it tuned to the right frequency (30-32hz) without long ports. I don't want to have a side-firing port, because my box will be butting up against the walls of the cab. is there any way i can get a top-firing port (slotted or round) to get the correct frequency? Or maybe a slot port that ran lengthwise along the bottom of the box?
