Custom sub box, and sub ideas

Hey, decided that im not going with Visonik, that is if I can figure out what I want.

So, This was reccomended to me

What do you think of that? And, I was going to go for dual Visonik 12s. But, as im not going to go Visonik, what do you think about the idea of still getting dual?

What kind of box? Ported or bandpass? And what is a hatchback box or whatever its called.

And this is going in a Benz 1992 190E, so its like a Civic with its trunk space. Should I even go dual, and if not what size? And if I do go dual, what size?

thats a good choice for you as you only want it loud. Glad we were able to talk you out of going with the others.

Only one probelm that sub is refurbished and needs around 750 watts which pretty much blows your budget. you would be better off with the ones I suggested earlier or the ones pesteele is reccommending.

Well, i mena i dont want budget and have it sound like crap. So something definetly midrange.. And im not sure, how can you really have too much quality with a sub. i mean, its all just loud to me at least. although, i can tell between speakers, but all subs sound the same, as far as i have heard.

look at alpine, alumapro, boston acoustics, cerwin vega, cdt audio, crossfire, diamond, eclipse, jl audio, kicker, mb quart, memphis, mmats, mtx, phoenix gold, precision power, soundstream and pick you out some subs and an amp that looks good to you. then come on this thread and see what everybody says.

still think your best bet would be the mb quarts.

very good subs, sound good, get loud and come with a box for you.

then you just need to pick out an amp.

well neither type of sub is really better except round is better for sq.

yea i just saw that box was qlogic which sucks.

and MM the reason I suggested those is at first he said he wanted to spend 500 on sub/amp/box.

oh and the squares you usually see are kicker solobarics and they are really good spl subs and sound ok if in the right box.

both would be decent for what you want but i would rank the boston over the alpines. also I think the mb quarts would be better then the alpines, just get them without the box.

there is no difference at all, other then size. ones a 10 and the other is a 12. but everything else is the same. so wtf?

well something is different about the cones, but i dont understand those things
