custom sealed enclosure

I'm new to the forum. Been lurking for a while. Just joined today. I'm a bit of a car audio nerd. I am currently shopping around for my next system. I Just sold my old truck, and all audio equipment. Here's my new situation.

2003 chevy crew cab (can't fit ANYTHING)

I'm forced to do either a bed cut, or custom console. I'm going for the console box. I'm also a JL Audio finatic (love us, or hate us) Want to install atleast two tens in place of center console. Removing flip up console, and cushion underneath. Willing to use space from very front, all the way to back seat (forming center console in the back) Any box building vets that can help with design? can provide dimensions. Or, any advice on how to figure airspace needed. Some experience doing this... but want this one perfect.

Likely going 10w6, considering w7.

First step is to pick your woofer. This way you know how big of an enclosure to make. I assume down firing would be best in this application, since passengers will likely be all over the sides/top of the console.

Post up some dimensions too and go from there.

Ok, 2 JL Audio 10w6's.

These are the MAX dimensions. Don't HAVE to use this whole space. This is just what I have to work with.

L= 48"

W=13.25"

14" Keep in mind that it's 48" from the lower dash area, to the back seat. I'd prefer the box not to be 14" tall all the way to the front ( due to asthetic reasons) . I'm pretty good at woodworking (built cabinets for a few years) so I'm up for antyhing.

something like this?

I would place both subs on the bottom of the enclosure and do a down firing setup.

Not sure if that design would have any cancellation issues or not, having the subs directly across from eachother. (Still learning on the box/acoustics aspect)
