im tryin to make a stealth system and i want to put my sub on one of the sides of my trunk ... i really dont wnat to start messing with fiberglass and mdf might not give me enough space so is there any other materials i could use for this ?

the blue outline inst really needed

also how could i cover the woofer so you cant see it if you look inside the hatch ...

you want a material that isn't wood, or fiberglass, and can't see through glass do you have a sub yet? how do you know that MDF won't give you enough space? you can always put something over it to hide it, but as far as material go, MDF and fiberglass are your best bet.

try fiberglassing that whole area, don't actually build a box, once you fiberglass it in well, use some gorilla snot(non drying caulk), fill in the gaps with some MDF and fiberglass those too then put the sub on a baffle just like you drew out and find a way to mount it and seal it all up. It will sound great, just use some resin to get the metal areas more stiff, mixing resin with some plasty cotton like you stuff pillows with works too and its cheaper than actual fiber glass sheets. it stops a lot of the resonance of metal too. you can get both at wal mart.

thanx for the help

i want to put carpet covering the sub (like a flap with a velcro strip a the bottom to hold it down) but i dont know how that would effect the performance ..

any ideas like that ... i live in miami and alot of cars get broken into and theyre mostly after subs and amps so if they see nothing in my hatch they wont break into it

im gettin either a rl-p or a SE
