I got some gauges for my explorer the white face gauges.. install was fine wired them up with no problem.. but now you turn them on and they glow blue but if ur driving they turn off then you have to turn off and back on for them to come on.. i thought i had ****** connectors rewired them and its still doing the same thing.. could they be faulty gauges?

sounds like they are connected to the wrong power source. funny note. my dad is david his birthday is on the 19th and he drives an explorer. LOL. david19 is the OP screenname and he drives an explorer. weird.

and my birthday is on the 19th to haha...

about the gauge though its hooked up to my parkin lights when they go out you can turn parkin light off then back on and they come back on..

see if you can find another spot to connect to. like a dash cluster lamp. something that comes on with the switch. or did you literally mean you tapped into a parking light wire under the hood? if you did that and they still turn off , i would venture to say they are faulty. try them on constant power and see if they shut off like that.

Wire them to a constant power source and see what happens. You could also have a faulty dimmer switch, I bought a new one, and now sometimes I have to turn the knob down and back up for any of my interior lights to come on with the headlights.
